Warm Baked Apple

Warm Baked Apple

A classic holiday treat, reimagined — cozy, nostalgic, and high-protein thanks to Babo’s Panjiri granola and Neeshi’s dark cacao spread.

When the holidays roll in, it’s less about perfection and more about comfort — the smell of cinnamon in the oven, the sound of laughter, and that feeling of something warm in your hands. This baked apple takes that nostalgia and gives it a wholesome, protein-rich twist. It’s indulgent without the guilt — because your dessert deserves to taste good and do good.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 11⁄2 tablespoons ghee
  • Cinnamon powder, to taste
  • 4–5 tablespoons Babo’s Panjiri Granola
  • Neeshi Dark Cacao Spread, for drizzling

Optional: Vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt, for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice off the top of each apple, then use an apple corer to scoop out the core — careful not to go all the way through.
  3. Brush each apple generously with ghee, making sure it seeps into the hollow center.
  4. Dust with cinnamon powder for that holiday warmth.
  5. Pour about 1⁄2 inch of water into your baking dish, around the apples (not over them).
  6. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes, until soft and fragrant.
  7. Remove the foil, fill each apple with about 11⁄2 tablespoons of Panjiri granola, and bake uncovered for another 5 minutes — or until the granola turns golden and toasty.
  8. Drizzle generously with Neeshi Dark Cacao spread and top with a scoop
of vanilla ice cream (or yogurt if you’re being good).
  9. Sprinkle extra granola for crunch and serve warm.
