About Babo

Rubab grew up between cultures and kitchens, shaped by the women, flavors, and routines around her.

Born in Kuwait, raised in Pakistan, and now rooted in California, she was always drawn to food that felt like care. During some of the hardest seasons of her life, she found her way back through cooking, relearning family recipes, calling aunties and grandmothers, and filling her home with the warmth of ghee, cardamom, and toasted lentils. Panjiri, a traditional South Asian snack known for its nourishing, energy-supporting qualities, became the center of that journey.

Today, Babo’s Kitchen brings that story into everyday life through heritage-inspired, pantry-friendly snacks where culture isn’t a trend, and every bag is meant to be shared. Babo’s Panjiri comes from a family recipe, passed down through the women in her family.
